Benefits: Sunflower oil, which is deeply nourishing and conditioning for the skin, is used for many skin ailments and conditions including dry skin, sensitive skin, bruises, diaper rash, cradle cap and mature/aging skin. It is said to help reduce bad cholesterol, break down fat cells, and regenerate skin tissue.

Sunflower oil helps soothe hemorrhoids, sinusitis, and rhinitis. Sunflower is an especially good choice for a carrier oil for those allergic to nuts.

Good for Skin Types: Normal/Combination, but highly recommended for Mature/Damaged skin.

Chemical Analysis: Approximately 12% saturated fat, 64% linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid). Standard sunflower oil contains approximately 20% oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), high oleic sunflower oil contains approximately 80% oleic acid.

Precautions: No known contraindications, but care should be taken as with all oils.
